Welcome to Black Mountain! Previously known as "The Front Porch of Western North Carolina”,
our Black Mountain Chamber has begun a new marketing campaign, now referring to us as
“The Little Town That Rocks.”
To kick off the 2014 season, we're having rocking chairs - featuring Photography from amateurs and professionals alike - showing our area’s icons, landscapes, lifestyle, nature...
Installed around Town by late May, be sure to take a leisurely stroll around Town and find your "spot to rock” and relax. You'll find over 50 rocking chairs for you to sit, rock and relax while enjoying all that Black Mountain and Swannanoa Valley has to offer.
(Sample seen here provided by Joye Ardyn Durham, Photographer - Gingko Tree Gallery, and Rick Thurston, Woodworker – Sanctuary One.)
The rocking chairs are sponsored by businesses and residents in the Black Mountain area, with photographs being provided by many of our talented local artists.
These one-of-a-kind rockers will be auctioned in October 2014, with proceeds benefiting the Chamber's Marketing Council, which assists with marketing and tourism promotion for our area...
